Vocabulary Poem

Poetry Description:



 A Vocabulary Poem is any type of poem that uses a list of vocabulary words.

Applications for History Class:

This poem is great for learning vocabulary words. Poems can be posted in the room so that students can review the words easily.

Directions:

Using key vocabulary words from the lesson, or a list of provided vocabulary words, create a poem. Forms of the vocabulary words may be used. 0ther words may be used, but the vocabulary words must be used within the poem somewhere.

Sample: 


Vocabulary: China, Terra Cotta Warriors, Tomb, Great Wall




In China many years ago

Emperor Shi Huangdi unified a people

Today Terra Cotta Warriors guard his tomb

And leave a legacy to the future

As long and as lasting as the Great Wall itself.
