Riddle Poem

Poetry Description:

This poem can be rhymed or unrhymed. It is basically a riddle, in poem form about a person, object, or historical event.

Applications for History Class:

Students can write riddles and then share them with others to challenge them into guessing the object, event or person.

Directions:

Write a Riddle in the form of a poem. Do not tell what the object is so that the reader has to figure out the object

I sit, unmoving,

Silent and mighty,

I am old, ancient,

As high as a Mountain,

The sand is my bed

The sky is my blanket

A king sleeps within me,

A river flows near me,

I live,

Forever!
