Phone Poem





 Poetry Description:

A Phone poem consists of one’s phone number as the basis for the number of syllables or words one is allowed to use in the poem.

Applications for History Class:

A Phone Poem may be used to describe a person, place or event.

This is good as part of for a poster project or to accompany an art project.

Directions:

Write down your phone number, or make up a phone number. Write it vertically. The number on each line is the number of syllables or words allowed on each line. Any number may be substituted for “0.”

The phone number is removed when the poem is completed.
