List Poem

Poetry Description:



 This poem creates a list of ideas, items or events. It can be of any length and can either be rhymed or unrhymed. They may be simple or intricate.

Applications for History Class:

This is a good poem for listing the attributes or achievements of civilizations. It can also be used to describe facts about whatever is being studied. It can be used to complements art projects.

Directions:


Students think about items, ideas, or events. They should start by writing the theme and then just make a list that supports the theme. Sometimes a closing sentence is added to “wrap things up.”
