Couplet Review poem consists of couplets (two lines which end in the same
rhyme) that explain the main points of the material being studied.
Applications for History Class:
These can be short poems or gathered together as a longer poem. This
poem can also be effective as a class poem. Everyone can contribute a couplet
about the subject being studied.
Directions:
Write
two rhyming lines that explain the main points of the material being studied.
These lines should be in groups of two.

Moses
wanted all Hebrews to be free
So he led
his people through the red sea
Confucius
said respect was cool
He
wanted children to obey the rules
The
Nile flows from south to north
Many
crops did it bring forth
